chic c-line II
Launched 10 years ago, the chic
c-line was intended as a mid-range
motorhome. It’s still going strong, and
to celebrate the anniversary, a Series II
version has been introduced.
The main change on the outside
is a distinctive front, with a large and
imposing chrome grille, as well as
daytime running lights and foglamps.
These models are available in either
A-class or low-profile form. If you opt
for the A-class, you will benefit from a
deeper and taller windscreen, improving
on-road visibility.
In fact, many of the changes for this
year are practical features aimed at
improving the motorhoming experience.
Things like a 170-litre water tank and
twin gel leisure batteries will make off-
grid camping much easier, while a wider
entrance door improves access.
Lounges see a whole host of changes,
including LED ambient lighting under
the drop-down bed. Kitchens can be
specified with the optional Nespresso
machine for touch-of-a button coffee in
the morning.
UK models will have the TEC-Tower
fridge and oven combo fitted as
standard, but there will be an option of a
full UK-style cooker for those that want it,
though this will be done once in the UK.
Storage, as with the rest of Carthago’s
2015 line-up, is worthy of note. A
heated garage ensures that night-time
occupants of the fixed beds – all models
offer rear fixed beds of one type or
another – don’t get cold when sleeping.
The double floor, which offers both
storage space and a home to the utilities,
is also heated, making this motorhome
ideal for year-round touring.
