RS Motorhomes, the award-winning British
motorhome manufacturer best known for its
high-end coachbuilts, has confirmed it will
be launching two new models over the next
six months.
The first to arrive from the Doncaster-
based manufacturer is an all-new version of
the RS Evolution (pictured).
As one of the company’s best selling
models, the RS Evolution has a new look
with an updated shape and range of layouts
and extras. The new model, which starts at
£165,000 (inc VAT), is fully winterised with
tanks lagged and insulated. It is based on
the Mercedes-Benz Atego body.
RS will also launch a new Eclipse in early
2015, which will be available as a two or
four-berth on either a Peugeot Boxer or
Mercedes Sprinter chassis (3.5 to 5-tonne).
There will be a range of layouts available and
the RS says there will be a high specification
as standard. Prices will start from £70,000
(including VAT).
Again, orders are already being taken.
Sunlight, which is Dethleffs’ budget brand,
celebrates its tenth anniversary in 2015 and
commemorates this with special ‘10 Years
Edition’ models of its T68 (single beds) and
T69 (island bed) models.
These come with silver sides and half
real leather upholstery (neither of which is
normally available), plus Fiat’s new captain’s
chairs in the cab, a 19in flatscreen TV and
bracket, bike rack, 4.5-metre awning and the
All-in-One Pack.
They feel anything but ‘budget’ vehicles
so, with Sunlight’s Teutonic build quality,
they should be a great buy.
Also new in the standard range are the
T60 (a 5.98m garage layout), the T65 (6.99m,
rear transverse double bed) and the T69 S (a
shortened – 6.99m versus
7.43m – version of the
island bed T69).
Most interesting is
the T65, which boasts
a surprisingly large
en suite bathroom,
opening out across
the width of the vehicle to include a fully
separate shower and good clothes storage
in a wardrobe and full-height shelved locker.
An optional drop-down double bed over
the lounge turns this model into a practical
four-berth.
General changes across the range include
a new overcab for low-profile models, new
rear bumper moulding and the inclusion of
ESP and ASR in the Chassis Package.
All Sunlight motorhomes also now come
with a five-year water ingress warranty,
which will make them even more appealing.
The 2015 RS
Evolution starts at £165,000
