Advantage T 7051 DBM
Inspired by the facelift of the Fiat Ducato,
Dethleffs decided to create a new design
for the Advantage range in 2015. The
new Advantage comes not only with a
new exterior design and chic interior as
standard but is also available with six
popular layouts. The company says it
sets benchmarks in equipment, comfort,
value-for-money and payload. The last
is as a result of lightweight construction.
For the T 5901 model the payload is
707kg on a 3,500kg chassis with four
registered travel seats with seatbelts.
Matching the new chassis, the
low-profile models get a new overcab
moulding. These and the A-classes come
with a new design at the rear.
Unusual for this class of motorhome
is the 70cm-wide living area door,
optionally available with a large window.
Also standard is an electric step and
flyscreen door. And the changeover of
gas bottles has been eased because
both 11kg cylinders sit on a convenient
slide-out cradle.
Inside is a new furniture concept.
Modern design features bi-colour
furniture with harmonious curves, while
larger lounges feature in all models. The
slim construction of the overhead lockers
includes a hidden installation duct for
retrofitting of extra sockets and lights. All
illumination is by power-saving LEDs.
In the kitchen, large drawers have a
soft-close function and there’s a fold-
away extension of working surface.
One of the most eye-catching features,
though, is the new slim fridge with 142
litres of volume and practical drawer for
1.5-litre bottles.
The bathrooms have spacious full-
width en suites for the two 7051 layouts.
