German premium manufacturer, Carthago,
is introducing a new corporate look with
its imposing front grille for its desirable
chic c-line A-classes. But, while this
manufacturer may be famous for
producing high-end A-classes, it should be
remembered that it now produces a range of
motorhomes and campervans to suit most
budgets.
The exterior of its Fiat Ducato-based
Malibu campervan, which only arrived here
late last year, has been tweaked to coincide
with the facelifting of the Ducato. In addition,
there is a new layout in the form of the 600
DB, which features two double beds in a
bunk bed set-up in the rear,
making it a true four-berth
campervan.
On the coachbuilt
front, Carthago has
introduced a totally
reworked version of
the c-tourer 143 with
high-level twin single beds
and a fridge that now sits in
the kitchen rather than under a bed.
Carthago is also introducing a new entry-
level c-tourer range, called the Sport. This
two-layout range will have the same high
build quality that Carthago is famous for
but will have a lower spec and therefore be
several thousand pounds cheaper.
Ten years after it was launched, the shic
c-line gets a major facelift, which gives it
one of the most distinctive motorhome faces
ever. Tweaks inside include new LED lighting,
larger water tanks, improved gel leisure
batteries and dedicated TV locker.
There is of course an optional Nespresso
coffee machine.
Finally, the high-end chic s-plus is now
being built on the new Iveco Daily with its
rear-wheel drive and ladder chassis set-up,
while Carthago’s flagship range, the Liner,
get thicker, better quality insulation, plus a
choice of either the new Iveco or MAN TGL
as a base vehicle.

Bürstner has simplified its ranges, models
and options packs for 2015. To this end
it has introduced the Sovereign models,
specifically for the UK market.
Based on selected models from three
different ranges, the Sovereign will offer a
motorhome with almost everything included.
The Sovereign name will adorn nine models
destined for the UK: three Nexxo low-
profiles, three Ixeo Time drop-down bed
models and three Viseo A-classes.
These models will be fully kitted out
as standard. And all UK-bound Avianos
will be badged Impulse signifying extra
specification as standard, like a passenger
cab door.
In Ixeo Time, you get the compact
front lounge 586, the 726 G with
single beds and the new-for-2015
745 G with an island bed and
full width washroom with central
washbasin and separate shower.
The Nexxo versions include the
French bed t 660, single bed with
garage below t 690 G and the island bed
t 740, and all three Viseo models are
Sovereign badged.
Aside from this, the main changes are
in the low-profile line-ups: Nexxo, Nexxo
Time, Travel Van and Ixeo Time.
Wood-free XPS construction is
now part of the majority of the
Bürstner range (except the Time
models), with strong composite
insulation for better winterisation.
Nexxo Time is a new entry-
level model, so the Nexxo range has
been nudged upmarket. As the Nexxo and
Sovereign models offer such good value and
levels of kit, the Time range may only have
limited appeal, but the t 569 (5.89m French
bed) and the t 665 with an offset island bed
are not available in the other ranges.
The narrow-bodied Travel Van range
offers a new low profile with rooflight, and
enhanced levels of storage with an extra
wardrobe in the lounge. A slim fridge frees
up extra storage space.
Finally, the drop-down bed Ixeo and Ixeo
Time models get a rounder shape to the low-
profile moulding and electric operation for
the drop-down beds.
More models now get a wide habitation
door. There’s also a new, slimmer 145-litre
fridge, exclusive to Hymer Group brands.
