he Eden Valley is unusual in being close to the Lake District,
but almost ignored by the touring hordes. Wild Rose is
anything but wild, being a large campsite with lots of facilities
including a shop, swimming pool and bistro-style restaurant
on site. Amenities here are comprehensive, modern and
immaculate, catering for motorhomes, caravans and tents. There
are even wigwams to hire. This is an idyllic setting for a relaxing
holiday, with the lovely little town of Appleby being just a couple
of miles away. Wild Rose makes a great base for shing, walking
and enjoying the views across the Pennines.

and a real gem it is too. Located in an Area of Outstanding
