CaraCompact 600 MEG
Weinsberg’s all-new CaraCompact is
arguably one of the most important
models to enter the increasingly popular
compact motorhome segment this year.
For a start it costs just over £38,000,
which will make it attractive to
newcomers to the hobby as well as
seasoned buyers looking to downsize.
The 600 MEG is an ideal beginner
motorhome. The innovative interior
design features high-quality surfaces
and many functional details that are
rarely seen on coachbuilts in this price
sector, such as a full GRP roof with twin
rooflights that have mosquito netting and
blackout roller blinds.
The new CaraCompact also comes
with a ‘service module’ that houses all
of the motorhome’s essential supply and
waste connections in the sidewall – a
unique feature in this price class.
The motorhome is also very compact,
with a body width of just 2.20m and a
length of 6.73m, which makes it ideal for
narrow lanes. Yet inside, it is spacious
– roomy enough for two single beds
with cold foam mattresses and slatted
bases at the rear (these can be joined to
create a large double bed), a washroom
with shower, toilet, mirrored cabinet and
hinged basin that can be moved over the
toilet to create more space.
Opposite the washroom is a large
ventilated storage area and kitchen with
a triple-burner hob, extendable worktop,
sink and a 149-litre fridge/freezer.
Forward of this is a dinette with table
and seating for four when the cab seats
have been swivelled. Efficient interior
LED lighting is standard in the living area
(halogen in the washroom), while exterior
LED daytime running lights are optional.
