That’s because we believe we oer a package of sales and customer service that’s unrivalled, all backed by our 40 years of experience as a supplier of new and used motorhomes. This year has seen us refurbishing our showroom at Brent Knoll as well as upgrading our accessories shop. Also, we keep ahead of the curve with continual investment in sta training – with regular updates on customer service as well as health and safety and the technical side. Two of our sta, Steve Taylor and Max Pike, are very much part of the future of our business, and both have been undertaking studies at the Institute of Leadership and Management. Plus, of course, for the very latest news, visit our website or our very own Facebook page. Home Farm - our annual showcase Every year we host a special show event, away from our premises, for folk to come and look at our motorhomes, as well as enjoy a weekend rally. It takes place at Home Farm Holiday Park, near Burnham- on-Sea. Our West Country Motorhome Show o†ers an insight into the usage of a motorhome and what these vehicles can give you. We especially welcome those who are new to motorhomes and just want to have a browse, find out more information etc. This year’s event takes place in September (look out for further announcements regarding dates) and, as ever, daytime admission and parking will be free. Why not hire before you buy? Did you know we’ve been doing motorhome hire for over 20 years? That also includes a hire-before-you- buy package. It’s an ideal way for first-timers to try the way of life and see if it’s right for them before taking the plunge and buying their first motorhome. We use new vehicles every year, all fully equipped and ready for UK or European use, so you can be assured of a great trip. Selling to the celebrities Every customer is special to us. But, every now and again we have an unusual request. We’re lucky to count a number of celebrities among our customers. Out of respect for them, we’re not naming names, but it’s amazing how many well-known actors, media stars and more like to get a break from the limelight by going away in their motorhome. Our most recent such sale? A very high-profile, multi-title winning British boxer! We’re happy to lend our support to lots of worthy causes. Here are some of them All the latest Here’s a round-up of the latest news fromWest Country Motorhomes Dressing up – and down The Brain Tumour Charity is very close to us. As our boss Steve Pike explains: “Neal Challice was a personal friend, we were best men at each other’s weddings. In 2002, Neal was just 42 when he was diagnosed with a glioblatama brain tumour.” Neal’s fight lasted 13 years. He passed away in September 2015. As his wife Sara explains: “Caring for Neal is probably the hardest thing I’ll ever do. The Brain Tumour Charity was a great support. We need to continue the funding into research for brain tumours as the prognosis, once diagnosed, is still very poor.” ALSO : *We are delighted to be among the sponsors of Taunton Deane Cricket Club. Taunton won the Baker Cup in 2018. *Loyal customer Peter Holland is the chairman of Taunton Vale Hockey Club. We are proud to be one of the Club’s many sponsors. *We are kit sponsors for Burnham United Juniors Football Club Under-15s team. *We sponsored a 15-year-old Ben Cha†ey on a cricket tour of Sri Lanka. Ben hopes to go on and play cricket for Somerset one day. Watch this space! Like most businesses we are inundated with requests for support for charitable causes and local events. Sadly, we can’t give to everyone, but we do like to help when we can and particularly with our local community, everything from specific money-raising events to organisations such as St Margaret’s Trust Taunton Hospice, right through to local sports clubs and schools. Apologies to those we inevitably have to say no to but we will continue to support as much as we can. Backing for the Purple Ball Earlier this year we were joint main sponsor for The Purple Ball in Weston-super-Mare in aid of SUDEP Action (the sudden unexpected death in epilepsy charity). We were proud to be part of an event that raised nearly £10,000 for the charity, organised by the family of Johdi Russell – who tragically died from an epileptic seizure in 2017. Johdi was the daughter of Tanya Russell, niece of our former director, Paul Pike. Support for the Big Blind Walk In 2018, we provided a support motorhome for The Big Blind Walk, a Lands End to John O’Groats walk by Julian Heitz Jackson, helping him raise over £45,000 for the National Eye Research Centre in Bristol.
