The AdvancedGel range can be mixed with water on site by engineers to create 8 litres of final product and the compact pouches take up less van space. Advanced says the benefits to wholesalers include next day delivery by any courier and a significant reduction in shelf space. The range includes Universal Coil Cleaner, Evaporator Cleaner & Disinfectant, Condensate Drain Unblocker, Condenser Cleaner and Ice Machine Cleaner UK Sales Director Scott Davies said: “In a recent survey, engineers told us how valuable van space is to them and this new range solves the space issue whilst maintaining the excellent performance our customers have come to expect.” Advanced became part of the Aspen Pumps Group in 2018 and Group Marketing Director Kelly Butler said: “The Advanced rebrand is testament to the continued investment that Aspen wants to make in the chemicals category.’’ www.advancedengineering.co.uk SUSTAINABLE SOLUTIONS FROM FRI-JADO Fri-Jado UK has launched a range of chilled Custom Counters which it claims are the most sustainable products of their type on the market. The counters incorporate Fri-Jado’s OmniCold refrigeration system, which works by blanketing the food on display from all sides. A low velocity air flow of approximately 120 m3/h/m circulates above and below the food. Refrigerated air circulated across the product deck chills products from below, whilst slots in the deck allow air to escape to the top. This prevents the top air flow from collapsing and enables higher stacking heights, even at minimal air speeds. The air outlet grille creates an air flow which reduces turbulence and mitigates the infiltration of ambient air, meaning less energy is required. Further energy savings have been achieved by incorporating LED lighting, DC fans, triple pane insulated side glass and a fully insulated shell. The counters have been designed to operate with a wide range of future- proof refrigerants with low GWP. Options include R744/CO2, R455A and glycol for remote systems and R1234yf for integral systems. www.frijado.co.uk TRANE CLAIMS EFFICIENCY BENCHMARK Trane has added two new models to its Sintesis range of air-cooled chillers and heat pumps. It says the RTAF XSE and RTAF XSS o¥er record seasonal e¦ciency within the screw compressor chiller market. The new chillers deliver capacities between 360 and 1250kW with SEER reaching up to 6.41 for the XSE model, up to 51% over the Ecodesign 2021 threshold. The XSS model is designed for buildings with limited roof space and is said to o¥er powerful seasonal e¦ciency in a smaller unit size. Erik van Oossanen, Portfolio Manager at Trane Europe, said: “We keep on improving our systems’ e¦ciencies and sustainability levels without sacrificing the quality, reliability or performance. These new Sintesis models give our customers great e¦ciency gains and contribute to improving their buildings’ energy e¦ciency. At the same time, they help them meet their sustainability goals while keeping their occupants safe and comfortable. All this with better total cost of ownership.’’ The new chillers will be available with R134a and HFO R1234ze refrigerants.
