The global spread of the coronavirus has been staggering, with the initial cases in China identified on January 12 and the first reported instances in the UK on January 31. The picture will be di¤erent again by the time you read these words. When a magazine is published every two months, much of the material is prepared in advance and it felt odd reading articles written or contributed before the enormity of the current situation had become clear. When the first thing we should all be thinking about is helping to keep everyone as safe and healthy as possible, you do begin to question the relevance of anything not directly connected to the crisis. What those articles do underline, though, is the innovation, expertise and determination at the core of this industry and many others like it. Those same qualities have been just as visible in the way businesses and organisations have responded and adapted to the crisis; directing resources to the areas that matter, supporting each other and, in many cases, taking di¦cult decisions in order to protect employees and their families, and customers. We are trying to share as many key messages as possible via the Industry Update section of our website and our social media channels. If we can help your business in that regard, please get in touch; we will support you in any way we can. In the meantime, very best wishes to everyone from the ACR Journal team. Stay safe and we’ll see you on the other side. Editor David Todd 01778 392094 david.todd@warnersgroup.co.uk
