OperableWalls Style Moveable Partition Specialists for The Londoner Hotel, Leicester Square (Architect: Woods Bagot & Yabu Pushelberg) Judges’ comments: Style installed a six-metre high Skyfold moveable wall in the main ballroom and other moveable wall systems were installed. The finished product is superbly fixed and of the highest quality. Specialist Joinery EE Smith Contracts for The Londoner Hotel, Leicester Square (Architect: Woods Bagot & Yabu Pushelberg) Judges’ comments: An intriguing collection of high-quality joinery elements were expertly installed throughout this hotel to deliver a top-quality interior finish. Plastering – Heritage Artisan Plastercraft for The Grand Hotel Birmingham, West Midlands (Architect: Arup) Judges’ comments: Meticulous attention to detail and intricate workmanship delivered an excellent final result. Drylining Residential – company turnover under £5m Cheshire Ceilings and Partitions for Hewson Court, Northumberland (Architect: BOX Architects) Judges’ comments: For this project most of the light gauge steel framing was fabricated off site. This, coupled with many ingenious but practical time and cost saving measures ensured a superb result. Steel Framed Systems Veitchi Interiors for Holiday Inn Express, Edinburgh (Architect: ICA) Judges’ comments: By providing offsite pre-panellised light gauge steel solutions; all the elements involved were installed by a handful of operatives within a seven-week programme. Plastering – Fibrous and GRG Fine Art Mouldings for BAFTA, London (Architect: Benedetti Architects) Judges’ comments: Fine Art Mouldings used cutting edge technology and expertise to replace the damaged elements of the roof-lights and blend them with some original parts. The overall result is immaculate.
