33 This project has significantly expanded the retail space of Bishopsgate, providing more than 18,000ft 2 of new workspace and public realm. It also features a revised reception area, split over the ground and first floors. Stortford Interiors’ in-house joinery division, Parkrose, was initially appointed by British Land to design, deliver and install an extensive joinery fit-out package over multiple levels, and it was subsequently awarded the turnkey fit-out of the Level 10 Business Lounge. The initial brief included laminate-faced solid timber doorsets; ironmongery; a reception desk in green case polished concrete; crown cut oak veneer and brass feature panelling; planters, tables, benches and hub booth seating; and 20mm thick reclaimed European oak engineered flooring. For the Level 10 Business Lounge, a bespoke tea point and audio- visual cabinetry was required, as well as Douglas fir flooring, wall panelling, a feature Barrisol ceiling and automated solid timber entrance doorsets.
