31 Greenbank House, an 18th century Grade II listed property, was donated to the University of Liverpool in the mid-20th century and, unoccupied since the 1990s, sustained water ingress and collapse, which required an almost complete internal rebuild. In June 2015, Ornate Interiors was commissioned to undertake a condition report on the plasterwork and external render to enable the architects to forma specification. Ornate was then appointed in November 2018 to restore the 200-year-old lath and plaster and replicate the decorativemouldings and (ashlar marked) external lime render. The project also involved the removal of sections of decorative mouldings and squeezes for cataloguing and cleaning, and the reproduction of cornicemouldings, elliptical roof lights, decorative arches and groined ceilings.
