21 Barton Square was originally completed in 2007 as an open-air shopping centre alongside The Trafford Centre inManchester. This recent development, a £65m, 18-month project, involved glazing over the open courtyards andmalls, creating a 30m-high central glazed dome, and installing new floor, wall and ceiling finishes. Ryedale developed the design, andmanufactured and installed all the GRGworks that concealed the roof support steelwork to create a stunning new shopping centre. The project involved 4,000mof GRG cornice light troughs in 170 ceiling coffers; 1,000mof GRG large cornices and Greek key fascias inmalls and courtyards; GRGworks to a 30m x 18m central dome feature; 150 circular column casings with ionic angular voluted capitals; and about 200 different moulds.
