19 Located on the site of the former BBC Pebble Mill studios on Pershore Road, this development comprises 358 high-specification self-contained studios for students. The building also includes a large community hub with study rooms, a gaming room, a cinema and a gym. Recognising the importance of logistics in student accommodation, Drywall Contracts Ltd (DCL) worked withmain contractor Morgan Sindall from the outset. Given the amount of material and work required in a short space of time, DCL pre-loaded the building with plasterboard and used a crane as the slabs were going up the building. This reduced cost, as well as the programme time set out byMorgan Sindall, and the building was handed over four weeks ahead of schedule.
