10 Veitchi Interiors was appointed byMorrison Construction as the fit-out contractor for Diageo’s new laboratory building inMenstrie, whichwill be used by the distiller’s scientists to blend and test brands such as JohnnieWalker, Smirnoff and Gordon’s Gin. The project included forming a curved wall in the sensory room, using bespoke products to ensure a high-end finish. This meant all blind boxes had to be individually designed and sized as required, and no cut tiles could be used, whichmade the setting out process particularly challenging. Fixing the glass racks to the ceiling of the lab areas was also complex. In addition, Veitchi manufactured and installed bespoke ceiling rafts throughout the project.
