Spec Finish
New Forest Ceilings was involved in the design and installation of this timber veneered plaster strip ceiling, with ribs fitted. The installation had to follow the complex multi-angled roof construction of the building and be designed so that all of the ceiling areas met at the same angle while precisely maintaining the small gaps between each of the strips. Acoustic slab was fitted behind theMF system, then an acoustic fleece, before fixing approximately 8,000 clips, which were all lined up with the template, ready to take the ribs. In addition, a splice plate was fitted between the rib joints and finally, an angled top hat trimwas designed where the ribs met at point. The job also included drylining to walls and a curved staircase built using timber studwork, fixed with steel uprights, with clad contour board and rib lath as required.
