Pay attention to the direction of your brushstrokes: Let them follow the contours of the objects to begin creating their forms. With the No. 3 filbert and a mixture of Prussian blue and titanium white, paint the sky with horizontal strokes. Save some of this colour on your palette; it will be reflected into the teapot and the tabletop later on. Paint the peaches with a mixture of cadmium red medium and cadmium yellow medium.Add a touch of burnt umber into the cadmium red medium for the shadow areas. Mix a jade green with titanium white, cadmium yellow medium, Prussian blue and a touch of ivory black to grey it. Use this to paint the teapot. Save this colour on your palette. Paint the brown table with a mix of burnt umber, cadmium red medium and cadmium yellow medium.
