As before, use your brushstrokes to describe the form of each petal, and leave a hairline gap between them if you wish the colours to remain distinct. Make marks into the wet paint using a stick. 2 Continue in the same way along the rest of the stem, painting in the flowers and buds. I find that moonglow works well in describing the whites of the petals. As before, the buds are a very vivid green, so use a mix of new gamboge and ultramarine turquoise.
