THE LATEST www.coeliac.org.uk | 7 In line with new regulations and requirements we have updated our Privacy Policy. This covers how we process your data and how we may communicate with you about activities such as campaigning, fundraising and research. The update includes a change to the way we ask for your preference about telephone calls. Calling our members and supporters can be a positive way to communicate, but not everyone likes to be contacted this way. You can read the updated Privacy Policy at www.coeliac.org.uk/privacy . To amend your telephone communication preferences, visit www.coeliac.org.uk/my-account , call 0333 332 2033 , or email us at generalenquiries@coeliac.org.uk . Over the coming months we will also be in touch by email to ask you to confirm or update your email marketing preferences. As per our Privacy Policy we have to ask you to do this every three years. Keeping in touch with you is really important. It means we can let you know what we’re doing to help our community live well gluten free and how you can continue to support us. Shop NEW products 2020 was a record year for our online shop and with that success we’re excited to unveil some brand new products. Privacy Policy update Connect with our volunteers With face to face volunteer events cancelled and social distancing measures in place, it has been difficult for people to feel connected over the last year. However, our local group volunteers have found ways to virtually support members and help them feel less isolated. And our Member2Members volunteers are also here to offer a supportive ear for those that need extra help. Monthly catch up meetings on Zoom have provided a great way to see one another: from all member catch ups to meetings especially for the newly diagnosed. Local groups are also sending out regular email newsletters about what support is available within local communities, and have a growing network on their social media pages. If you’re not a member of a local group yet, check out www.coeliac.org.uk/localgroups to see what’s in your area. Coeliac UK teams have also enjoyed keeping in touch with our volunteers across the nations through their monthly online catch ups. These have been a great opportunity to share ideas on supporting members, provide important updates and training, and ensure our volunteers are keeping well during these times. If you’re interested in our volunteer opportunities please contact volunteering@coeliac.org.uk for more information.
