42 Winter 2022 NEWS HAE EHA WORKS ON WELLBEING WITH EMPLOYEE WELLNESS DAY O ver the past few years, the importance of looking after employees’ wellbeing has been highlighted, and HAE EHA recognises the value of employee wellbeing, good morale, and creating a mentally positive workplace. With that in mind, the HAE EHA team came together for an Employee Wellness Day recently, aimed to get the whole team out of the office for a day to focus on themselves away from work. The day began with employees enjoying food, drinks, and chats at restaurant chain Nandos, before they were split into teams for a round of mini-golf on a ‘Tropical Island Adventure’ course with palm trees, caves, and waterfalls. The day was thoroughly enjoyed by all employees and HAE EHA strongly encourages its members, and the wider industry, to plan wellness days (or activities) to support employees and build a positive workplace. HAE EHA has increased the focus on mental health, particularly during 2022, with all employees receiving Mental Health First Aid training, alongside the introduction of the industry-wide United for Mental Strength initiative, designed to help share ideas, raise awareness and tackle mental health issues across the industry. HAE EHA wants to lead by example in supporting the wellbeing of employees and the sector as a whole.
