Summer 2022 39 Irish equipment rental specialist Dromad Hire held a recent team- building day in the Medieval village of Carlingford. The multi award-winning Irish company puts a strong focus on promoting good staff morale, consistently investing in its team and creating a mentally and physically positive workplace. The day began with a visit to Carlingford Adventure Centre where the group was split into two teams and prepared to face a challenge of survival. The tasks involved were both physical and mental. The teams had to deal with overcoming fears with some tumbles along the way while using some core individual skills to complete the tasks. After the winning team was announced, the entire crew made its way to the Bay-Tree Restaurant where food, wine and cocktails were served. Dromad Hire’s General Manager, Ronan Cotter, said: “Organising company activities outside of work is one of the most important things you can do to maintain a happy and productive environment. It is amazing to be a part of something that is more than just a job, something fun to look forward to every day rather than a boring monotonous or unrewarding environment. “It is an appreciation for all employees and reinforces the gratitude we have for the outstanding work they do day in day out. It’s our people that make a difference.” The company is based on the east coast of Ireland and was founded in 1988. In 2014 Dromad Hire became one of the first hire companies in Ireland to obtain ‘Safe Hire’ status and its accolades include UK & Irish Rental Company of the Year 2016, Irish Rental Firm of the Year 2018 and Irish Plant Hire Company of the Year 2019. >> TEAMWORK MAKES THE DREAMWORK MEMBERSHIP NEWS Irish company celebrates good employee relationships with team-building day.
