Summer 2022 15 www.hae.org.uk www.eha.org.uk ULTRA-SILENT GENERATOR RANGE EXPANDED M HM Group has won a bronze award for its carbon reduction projects at the Green World Awards and will receive the award at a ceremony in Westminster in November. e Green World Awards are organized by e Green Organisation, an international, independent, non-political and non-pro t environment group that began in 1994, dedicated to recognising, rewarding and promoting environmental best practice around the world. MHM Group continues to increase its sustainable products, with more than 30% of its sales and rehire equipment being solar (engine free) or hybrid-powered. MHMGroup Managing Director Mat Llewellyn said: “We are thrilled to see our carbon reducing, sustainable solutions receive recognition. It’s so important for the construction and hire sectors to make strides in environmental innovation and look at how it can reduce its carbon footprint for the long term. “ is award reassures us that our e orts have not gone unnoticed, and we will continue to o er solutions and equipment to the hire and construction sectors which will eliminate harmful carbon emissions.” MHM was also recently recognised in the Hire Awards of Excellence. In total, it was shortlisted in three di erent categories including Hire Industry Supplier of the Year, SafeHire Plant Tool & Equipment Hire Company of the Year (Turnover under £10m) and Workshop Manager of the Year. At the European Rental Awards where the Street Lite, a completely self-powered solar only, engine free lighting tower, was also chosen as a nalist in the Rental Product of the Year category. >> I ncreased demand from the events sector and lm industry has led to the expansion of a dedicated range of ultra-quiet generators. Plant equipment provider MHM has expanded its range of Event Ready generators, which now covers models from 10kva to 500kva. e units, painted in a distinctive pink livery, all feature MHM’s ultra-silenced technology, reducing noise emissions to as low as 50dBa at seven metres. Group Sales Director forMHM, Brad Ireland, said: “We’ve extended the Event Ready range due to increased demand for these products from the event and lm industries. ey are quiet, reliable and robust machines that are speci cally designed for outdoor events or use on movie and TV sets, providing the same power as our standardMHM generators with the bene t of reduced noise levels.” e generators all have Stage V compliant Kubota, Yanmar, Kohler or Iveco diesel engines and are compatible with HVO fuel, enabling the user to reduce their emissions. ey also feature MHM’s unique automatic engine protection system. is shuts down the engine to prevent damage caused by issues such as low oil pressure, low fuel, battery charge failure, and high engine temperature. Other standard features include deepsea panel, a three-way fuel valve, 12V battery isolator switch to minimise the risk of a at battery, and a fully bunded base to prevent fuel leaks or spillages. Transport around site is made easy with an integrated lifting eye and forklift pockets. Designed with the UK and Ireland hire markets in mind, the Event Ready generators also feature an engine oil drain pump to reduce service time. Brad said demand has soared for the Event Ready range. “It is great to see the UK and Ireland opening up fully after covid and there is huge pent-up demand for outdoor events.
