Spring 2023 41 T he Executive Hire Show 2023, a trade-only event open to hire executives throughout the UK, Ireland and beyond, featured 150 exhibitors, with 32 companies making their show debuts. e show, held at Coventry Building Society Arena, also boasted a record number of visitors, including senior executives from the procurement and purchasing departments of the national hire operations and large numbers of independently-owned hire outlets. Executive Hire Show Publishing and Events Director Chris Moore said: “After scrutinising the visitor list with a ne- tooth comb, we are delighted to con rm that the 2023 show attracted 2,045 visitors – a record-breaking number of relevant hire industry professionals, which is 119 higher than the 2022 event. “All hire industry visitors were from national and independent operations, which is consistent with previous years. is recon rms the pivotal role of the show and its continued ability to attract relevant, quality hire professionals.” ere was a record amount of new product launches at the show, with a strong focus on environmental solutions. CARBON-REDUCING UNITS DISPLAYED e sales and marketing teams from Genquip Groundhog, which manufactures sustainable mobile and static welfare units, returned to its South Wales base made many new contacts at the show. Genquip Groundhog Sales and Marketing manager Peter Beach said: “We had a fantastic show. Our new, redesigned iRange of carbon-reducing welfare units took centre stage and certainly turned a few heads with their fresh stylish interior and external rounded corners. “ “It was a pleasure tomeet somany of our existing clients, and with the number of new enquiries we received during the two days, it looks like our client portfolio is set to expand. ere was an impressive amount of visitors, particularly onWednesday, which represented all aspects of the hire industry.” ere are currently three models within the iRange, the i360, i500, and i550. e iRange was featured on the show’s Innovation Trail. e company has advanced plans to introduce a range of static iRange units entitled the i760, and the i610. LOW-EMISSION DISCUSSIONS MHM Group led discussions in low- emission solutions for the hire, plant and tool sector at the show’s Innovation Trail Live, as well as showcasing its sustainable equipment to the plant and tool sector. Sales Director at MHM, Brad Ireland, spoke with presenter Peter Haddock. It was the 10th year in a row that the MHM Group had attended the show. After celebrating a 150% rise in revenue in the last two years owing to the increasing demand for its low-emission and innovative products, the MHM Group promoted power, uid storage and lighting solutions, with the MGTP 10 USY- Stage 5 taking centre stage as the rst 10kva ultra-silent generator in its class. Brad said: “ is event allows us to showcase the best of our Eco equipment which has seen a 30% increase from last year– and has greatly contributed to the growth of the business and increased our focus even further on our sustainable product o ering.” He added: “As we move into 2023, we have big plans to increase our sustainable hire eet and promote products that improve energy e ciency and lower emissions as part of a drive towards a cleaner, more sustainable future and available to purchase or rehire fromMHMGroup.” LIVE PLANTS FOR GREEN THEME Visitors to the Trime stand were greeted by a novel display of live green plants, which garnered an array of positive comments. e stand designwas the brainchild of Trime’sMarketingManager, Emma Cohen. After the show, the plants were carefully packed away and delivered to a local primary school, Godmanchester Community Academy, to be cared for by the students. Trime UK Managing Director Paul Hay said: “We had a great show. At times the hall was packed out with visitors from a wide range of businesses. Our aim was to highlight the green credentials of our method of operations and our equipment, hence the display of these plants. “Credit must be given to the organisers for delivering such a successful show. e support they received from the hire industry was very evident. We gathered a large number of leads which our sales team will be following up on.” Trime showcased the X-ECO LITHIUM HYBRID tower light which is powered by the latest development in lithium battery technology. Also on display was a sample of the hydraulic equipment that its sister organisation, DOA has available. e dates have now been con rmed for the 2024 Executive Hire Show, which will return to the Coventry Building Society Arena on Wednesday February 14th and ursday 15th 2024. << EXECUTIVE HIRE SHOW 2023
