Spring 2022 17 A fter a two-year break, the Executive Hire Show returned in early February at the Coventry Building Society Arena. A total of 2,751 visitors from the hire sector attended the event, looking to expand their eets with new products and discover the latest innovations and launches from the diverse range of exhibitors at the show. Sales & Rehire company MHM Group achieved a record number of enquiries at the Executive Hire Show. MHM Eco, part of the MHM Group, made its rst appearance at the show after its launch in January 2022. Its eco range o ers low emission and innovative products that emit zero or reduced carbon and can be powered by renewable fuel sources. One of the products MHM exhibited at the show was the solar hybrid gen MGTP 20 SHG-5 - a 20 kVA combined solar, battery and diesel generator with a user-friendly, complete automatic self-charging hybrid system. In addition, MHM launched two new products in Coventry including the Ultra-Silent Event Ready range and the Pressure Washer Water Bowser which were showcased before their o cial launch in Spring 2022. MHM Group Managing Director Matt Llewellyn said: “It was great to be back and interacting with people following the postponement of the show in 2021. “We were able to showcase our Eco brand and demonstrate MHM’s commitment to pushing the hire industry to become greener, as well as look to alternative methods of energy to power plant equipment across the UK. We have and will continue to increase our sustainable hire eet and promote products that improve energy e ciency and lower emissions as part of a drive towards a cleaner, more sustainable future.” MHM sponsored the ‘Innovation Trail: ECO Live’ stage which was presented by construction industry specialist Peter Haddock. e stage explored new power options and introduced technologies that improved safety, security and productivity in the workplace. MHM’s Street-Lite model also featured at the Innovation Trail. Genquip Groundhog, a UK-based manufacturer of sustainable temporary accommodation units, presented two new products at the 2022 Executive Hire Show: e emission-free Unisex SolarLoo, and the Groundhog I.760 static advanced welfare unit. e Groundhog Unisex SolarLoo is a combined male and female toilet system designed for use on construction sites and is powered by a combination of 130amp power AGM battery, which is charged via an intelligent solar power system with a built-in controller. e i.760 is an advanced unisex welfare unit tted with two 360watt solar panels, a large 2000VA inverter/charger, and a 330AH lithiumbattery. e i.760 operates solely on solar/battery power. Inside the i.760 there is a waterless urinal, two ceramic ushing toilets and xed overhead 12V lighting. Users are kept comfortable via a HVO compatible advanced heating system. Sales and marketing manager, Peter Beach said there was a lot of interest in the new products during the two-day show which took place in Coventry in February. “It was brilliant to be back talking in person to so many people, and having the opportunity to explain how we are pushing forward with more sustainable methods to power our products,” he said.
