www.acrjournal.uk/heat-pumps An agenda for action! Russell Dean, Residential Product Group Director, Mitsubishi Electric says the comprehensive review by Chris Skidmore MP, provides an agenda for action. Government should use this as a springboard to boost decision making towards decarbonising Britain and making Net Zero a reality. “The Review’s recommendations are clear. Heat pumps are the future. A concerted eort is needed to drive their adoption across Britain. “With decisive government support, certainty can be given to industry to invest further in heat pumps, encourage installers to train, and households to switch to heat pumps and achieve energy savings. “The Review was called for to show that reaching Net Zero is pro-business and pro-growth. The review clearly answers that it is. With continued support for schemes such as the Boiler Upgrade Scheme and the Home Energy Scotland Scheme to insulate homes, choosing heat pumps and reducing energy use, attaining Net Zero is also pro households.” www.gogeothermal.co.uk 06 N E W S Support climalife.co.uk @climalife FIND US ON: Eco-e cient solutions for Heat Pumps IDS Refrigeration Limited The expert in eco-efficient solutions to service the industry 0117 980 2520 Bio-sourced HTFs Technical advice Service Low GWP Refrigerants Free Event Offered to Net Zero Heroes Members of the Ground Source Heat Pump Association, along with many of their guests, will be meeting at the National Conference Centre near Birmingham on the 23rd March to meet and discuss the role ground source heating will play in the current UK Net Zero landscape. To achieve certification in the UK, TCUK works to reduce its greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in accordance with The CarbonNeutral Protocol. This includes a detailed and independent annual assessment of GHG emissions to quantify the total produced by the business, both directly and indirectly. These include CO 2 emissions from travel, waste, water consumption and energy. This is followed by internal reduction measures to further improve resource eciency and purchase of assured carbon osets to reduce remaining CO 2 emissions to zero. www.toshiba-aircon.co.uk/company/responsibility/
