These figures suggest that installing a heat pump has the potential to save consumers hundreds on their energy bills all whilst providing a renewable, low carbon domestic heating option for households. The Department for Business, Energy, and Industrial Strategy’s response to the consultation on the market-based mechanism for low carbon heat shows the willingness to develop a market-led approach for low carbon heat and the scaling up of heat pump manufacturing and installation, and our member base is ready and willing to tackle the challenge head on to ensure the country can become a renewable powerhouse of domestic heat.
