The compact hydrogen fuel cell device is comprised of an integrated PEM fuel cell, a gas condensing boiler that covers peak heat demand peak on particularly cold days, a 220-litre DHW cylinder tower and the entire hydraulic system. Vitovalor has an electrical output of 750 W, can operate for up to 45 hours without interruption and generates up to 18 kWh per day when operated continuously. The average household can cover the majority of its daily energy needs autonomously and even become an exporter of surplus electricity. A new, fourth generation Viessmann Vitovalor device will be launched in the spring. In addition to an extended lifespan, with operating hours increased by 5,000 to 85,000 hours, and extended six-year service intervals, the new product line-up will be able to operate with natural gas containing a hydrogen admixture of up to 20 percent. Paroc launches the Paroc Clad system, a market-first complete industrial stone wool cladding system Paroc, a manufacturer of energy- ecient and fire-safe stone wool insulation products, has launched the Paroc Clad system, an innovative full system that protects pipework and ventilation without the need for costly, hard-to-install metal cladding. Suitable for indoor and outdoor installations, the system is weatherproof, UV-resistant, impermeable to water, and salt- water resistant. It can be used on temperatures up to 680°C, making it ideal for protecting against temperature losses on high-temperature systems and steam lines. Its robust construction also makes it ideal for use in a wide range of cases including chemical manufacturing, the food industry, HVAC, and even coastal applications. Designed to be installed with relative ease, the Clad system is supplied with comprehensive instructions, documentation, and test reports. It is delivered with all accessories including specific matching tape and Clad Dots (circular prefabricated tape for covering fastenings and cut-outs). paroc.uk@owenscorning.com www.paroc.co.uk/campaigns/paroc-clad-system Ideal Heating announces points boost for premier club adventurers Ideal Heating has announced new points boost promotion to support its third Premier Club trip which will take heating engineers on another trip of a lifetime. The launch comes hot on the heels of the company announcing a partnership agreement with leading heat pump manufacturer alpha innotec. It’s an indirect HIU featuring two high performance SWEP LAS heat exchangers. These allow the unit to deliver impressive outputs from a low temperature energy source, o¡ering DHW up to 75kW and heating up to 10kW. The use of LAS heat exchangers also ensures return temperatures from the MTA PLUS remain low and do not exceed 25°C. This helps to deliver high network eciencies, while also conforming to the CIBSE CP1 2020 Heat Networks Code of Practice. A user-friendly touch screen interface provides simple access to the MTA PLUS’ key settings and parameters. The unit can also be fitted with hard wired or wireless heat meters, and is also compatible with smart thermostats including Nest or Hive, as well as home hub systems such as Guru. www.modutherm.co.uk
