Raising awareness In May our awareness campaign ‘coeliac disease is different for everyone’ aimed to speed up the path to diagnosis by highlighting the lesser known symptoms of coeliac disease and encourage people to take our self-assessment to see if they should be tested. As a result of your amazing support in spreading the word, 10,000 people recognised their symptoms and took our online self-assessment. This is a phenomenal response and we are so happy that your support could change the lives of 10,000 people for the better. For 2024 we will be raising awareness for the whole month of May, so keep an eye out for further details on our website and social media channels. In the meantime, our online self- assessment is always available on our website, so if you know anyone who is experiencing symptoms, please direct them to www.isitcoeliacdisease.org.uk SAVE THE DATE! 1-31 May 2024 In June we launched a survey to capture the prices and availability of gluten free staple foods including bread, flour and pasta. We also asked for your personal experiences of shopping gluten free online and in store. The surveys were developed with the help of our brilliant volunteers who tested them and suggested improvements before we released them to our community. We would like to say a huge thank to every single one of you who took part in the surveys. Your support has been vital as we meet with commissioners and the food industry as part of our campaign to make gluten free food more affordable and more accessible. Visit our one stop shop for the festive season! Visit the Coeliac UK shop for all your gluten free festive needs. From books to wrapping paper, cards, branded items and more, there’s something for everyone. Don’t forget, when you shop with us you are supporting our mission to improve the lives of people who need to live gluten free. Join us in spreading joy and making a difference this Christmas.
