The conference, titled ‘Coeliac disease; beyond 2020, what lies ahead?’ will reflect on some of the significant developments of the past year before delving into the future for research beyond 2021. Covid-19 has had a huge impact on diagnosis and management of coeliac disease and raised many questions around health and wellbeing for people with coeliac disease. It prompted the adoption of a no- biopsy diagnosis pathway for adults and forced dietetic clinics to rapidly transition to a digital format. This conference provides the opportunity to hear from global experts on how these developments, and more, might shape the future of coeliac disease in the years to come. Hear the very latest updates from our amazing line up at www.coeliac.org.uk/rc2021 . Not online? You can still get in touch with us over the phone, we’d love to hear from you! Give us a ring on 0333 332 2033 for any fundraising, volunteering membership, general diet and health or food and drink enquiries. Local groups are here for you Although the pandemic has limited social events and activities, our local groups have continued to provide support to their members wherever possible. Switching to virtual group events, coffee mornings, quizzes and more have proved popular and very successful. Newsletters with regular updates have continued, local group social media pages have been very active with information and support, and as always the groups’ webpages are readily available online for anyone wishing to contact them at www.coeliac.org.uk/localgroups . Now that things are beginning to open back up, for any updates on future events please refer to individual groups’ webpages and social media. Local groups are very important in their respective areas countrywide. So if you have some spare time and you’re thinking of getting involved, then why not become a committee member and help shape your group’s future and support your community?
