This year, with the generous support of M&S, we asked you to join us in celebrating our 50th year by raising £50 and throwing a party. We have been amazed at the response, with over 500 parties planned and just over £10,000 raised so far! It’s not too late to apply for a pack if you want to join in too. Simply visit www.coeliac.org.uk/party . We’d like to thank all of our planners who have already held their parties this year. We have had bake sales, family barbeques, garden parties, a hot tub party, a tea dance, and many other equally creative and exciting events. Like Lola’s gluten free cake sale at school which raised an incredible £227! Lola also wrote a piece about coeliac disease for her school newsletter. There were even a few cakes left over that she took round to her neighbours to sell and tell them all about coeliac disease too. Well done Lola. Jessica held a pet show at her school and asked her classmates to bring in pictures of their pets. She had classes for different pets to compete in to win a rosette for their pet. Jessica did a great job explaining coeliac disease to her friends and awarding prizes. There are so many ways to celebrate, why not join in and raise £50 for our 50th year?
