They are calling members on our behalf and Coeliac UK has worked with them for many years. We have a small membership team working hard on supporting you through the Helpline and other services, so we asked NTT Fundraising to help fill a vital role that we wouldn’t be able to do on our own. The reason NTT may call is to ask if you would like to renew and pay your membership fee by a monthly direct debit to help you spread the cost over the year. We also know that some members like to add a donation to their direct debit, which is fantastic and goes straight towards our work supporting people who need to live gluten free. Monthly direct debits are a secure and convenient way to help ensure that no one’s life is limited by gluten by allowing us to plan our future activities and benefit the areas that need it most. We wanted to say a big thank you to all of you who gave us the go ahead to keep you connected and up to date with new developments. Nearly 32,000 have opted to keep in touch with all of our activities including products and offers, campaigning and research into coeliac disease and gluten related conditions, community events, raffles, lotteries and other giving opportunities. Being part of these activities means you are providing real support to our community, and giving younger members and future generations a better chance of a life not limited by gluten. In the coming months we are looking to boost our position as the key resource for researchers in the UK to locate research subjects for groundbreaking projects with the potential to develop life changing solutions for people with coeliac disease and other gluten related conditions. Coeliac UK has the biggest database of people for such projects and we are the first place researchers come to when they want to involve people in their research. We will be coming back out to you in the next few months about how we will tackle this important area.
