It’s been a busy few months for Challenge Events with Team Coeliac UK taking part in the Edinburgh Marathon Festival, Asics London 10K, Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100 and Big Fun Runs. We’d like to say big well done and a huge thank you to everyone who has taken part for helping to raise nearly £35,000 ! We’d also like to say good luck to everyone that will be taking on challenges in the next few months, from the Great North Run to your own events. Whatever you’re doing, you’re helping raise vital funds for people who have to live gluten free. We’ve even got our Governors and staff in on the act! Shout out and good luck to our Chair of Governors, James and his son Harry, who will be running in the Royal Parks Half Marathon and to Tristan and Sam from our Wales Office who will be taking on the Cardiff Half Marathon. You’re all inspirational fundraisers and we are so grateful for your support! Join the team If you’re still keen to take on a challenge this year, we have some places available in the 2019 Santa Run in Victoria Park, London on Sunday 8 December. You can choose from a 5K or 10K run and under 8s can join in with the 200m mini Santa dash! This year our community has been out holding great gluten free tea parties and we love hearing about them! Take nine year old Lois, who baked gluten free cakes for her Brownie group. Thank you so much to everyone who has hosted one so far, raising nearly £2,000 . Once your party has taken place, don’t forget to return your funds to us and send in your photos of the event as we would love to see them!
