BirdGuides

Just five months ago we made a decision that we never imagined we would ever have had to make – launching a new event, Global Birdfair! Continuing a lifelong passion for wildlife and conservation, being able to provide a gathering place for like-minded nature enthusiasts – especially at this critical time for the natural world – seemed a daunting, yet worthwhile option. It wasn’t an easy decision but with the pandemic having had such an impact on our lives, both as individuals and in the commercial sector there really wasn’t any other choice! Sadly, a number of well known companies had folded and many conservation projects were put on hold as income generated by the wildlife industry dried up. However, any concerns we might have had soon evaporated, as the news of this new event rapidly spread and the excitement grew. The thought that at last we could catch up with friends old and new, find out the latest piece Welcome to Global Birdfair 2022 of equipment and perhaps even book that trip of a lifetime that was only a dream for the past two years. We are grateful for all the support from our sponsors, our volunteers and of course all the visitors that make this event so very special. Have a wonderful Global Birdfair and remember by just being here, you are supporting a conservation project that plays a critical role: helping our birds as they make their annual migrations. Together we can revive La Janda.
