An additional element of the competitor preparation will be establishing the mind set required for achieving high performance. Joining of materials is an important part of the skills being tested and our top flame brazing expert explains why he’s focused on Quality of standard of work. “All manufacturing industries use various JOINING methods to ensure equipment is safe and reliable. Such industries include Automotive, Aerospace, Rail, Nuclear, Construction and RACHP (Refrigeration Air conditioning and Heat Pumps) It is essential that the QUALITY of these JOINING processes is adequate for the conditions in service and carried out to industry standards by competence personal. In recent years, the huge RACHP industry has had to cope with ever increasing legislation /regulation and changes in refrigerants to protect the world’s atmosphere. This had led to greater pressure to increase the QUALITY of ALL JOINING processes used by Refrigeration and air conditioning engineers and ensure existing and newly trained engineers are competent to carry out joining processes to an adequate standard.” There will be seminar on December 16 on the subject “Quality Objectives for JOINING PROCESSES used in all industries”. Spaces at this initial seminar will be limited to 40 as this includes a practical visit to on-site metallurgy labs. Further details to follow...
