09 NEWS SPX PARTNERS WITH PROKOOL SPX Cooling Technologies has appointed industrial process cooling specialist Prokool as its representative in northern England and Scotland. York-based Prokool is led by Directors David Gawthrope and Steve High, who have a combined 35 years of experience in the industry. SPX Cooling Technologies designs and manufactures Marley evaporative cooling towers and is aiming to build its global footprint with representation in several strategic territories. Meanwhile, SPX has appointed an industry expert to look after its customers in the south of the UK. New UK Area Manager Martin Scott brings extensive industry background and problem-solving expertise in matching design requirements with various evaporative cooling solutions. Of working with the SPX product range, he said: “In my opinion, it is better than any other o‹ering in the industry. Having that robust base of evaporative cooling systems and knowledge is vital to my customers.” KOOLTECH DISTRIBUTES PANASONIC CO 2 UNITS Panasonic has appointed Kooltech to distribute its range of commercial refrigeration CO 2 condensing units from its seven branches across the UK. Paul Taylor, Panasonic UK Sales Manager, said: “We are delighted to welcome Kooltech on board as a UK distributor of our Cold Chain CO 2 condensing units. The company has a large, knowledgeable team, who are skilled in energy-saving solutions.
