35 CHANGING FACES CHANGES AT THE TOP FOR BEIJER REF UK AND DEAN & WOOD Two familiar faces are taking on new challenges within Beijer Ref UK and Dean & Wood. Hayley Cattell has been promoted to head Dean & Wood as Business Director. Hayley has worked within the Beijer Ref business for over 10 years. She initially trained in the UK, Sweden and Italy. Hayley was responsible for the successful launch of the Cubo2Smart C02 condensing unit into the UK market and most recently was Northern Regional Sales Manager for HRP. Nick Kilner, after many years heading Dean & Wood, transfers to Beijer Ref UK in the new role of Business Director Retail and OEM. He will be responsible for the sales and specialist support teams to this market sector. JASON HEMINGWAY, MEMBERSHIP DIRECTOR, BESA The Building Engineering Services Association (BESA) has appointed Jason Hemingway as its new Membership Director. He brings more than 30 years of construction sector experience to the role. He was Managing Director of suspended ceiling manufacturer Rockfon for seven years before moving into distribution as National Sales Director for the interior business of SIG, and most recently construction products distributor Encon Nevill Long. His focus will be on increasing member numbers and engagement while also developing the extensive benefits already enjoyed by BESA members. He will be responsible for the existing team of regional managers and will report directly to group chief executive David Frise. He said: “I am delighted to be joining an organisation with such a respected and impressive track record of sector leadership going back more than a century. I am looking forward to working with the membership team to enhance the support we offer and encourage more firms to join us. The bigger we are as a collective, the better we can represent the industry and the more our members benefit.” www.TheBESA.com MATT BEALES, BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER, GRANT UK Grant UK has appointed Matt Beales as a Business Development Manager within the Renewables Sales Team. He will provide sales support on Grant’s renewable range to customers in the East and South East of England. Matt has been in the heating sector for over 20 years. He started his career with an oil boiler manufacturer, working on the production line before progressing into service manager and sales manager positions. He later joined another boiler manufacturer where his sales role developed to include renewable technologies as well as oil boilers. After working in the merchant sector as a business development manager, working with large contractors and developers, he joined a manufacturer specialising in gas boilers and heat pumps. He said: “The renewables market is a growing sector with so many opportunities available to those who are ready to engage with cleaner home heating solutions and who wish to help all of us achieve the Government’s net zero carbon targets. Grant UK’s renewable product offering is more extensive than ever before, from high performing Aerona³ R32 heat pumps through to the supporting package solution products and a dedicated in-house Design and Specification Team.” www.grantuk.com JON BRIGLY, MARKETING MANAGER, SAMSUNG CLIMATE SOLUTIONS Samsung has further expanded its growing climate solutions teamwith the appointment of Jon Brigly as Marketing Manager. Jon, who will be looking after the company’s heating and cooling campaigns, joins from Philips, where he worked for the health systems team as Marketing Manager for the MRI and CT product portfolios. Prior to that, he worked at BOC for 11 years, in various marketing roles across the welding and industrial gas sectors. He said: “It’s an exciting time to be joining Samsung. They are an incredibly ambitious team with market leading products and I’m really looking forward to being a part of it.
