February 2022 | March 2022 PRODUCTS & SERVICES 34 Volume 8 No.2 The Innovation Zone QUIET MARK CERTIFICATION FOR NEW SILENT DUAL BOOSTS S&P’S LOW-NOISE PRODUCT RANGE Ventilation specialist S&P UK has launched its Silent Dual extraction fan for residential and commercial settings which has been awarded the industry- leading Quiet Mark certification. Silent Dual is thought to be the first in the UK to have two built-in sensors (PIR motion and humidity) and demand controlled ventilation. Along with an intelligent control algorithm, the fan automatically adjusts performance to ambient conditions and ventilation requirements to provide the lowest energy consumption and noise levels. The wall or ceiling mounted extraction fan has continuous or intermittent modes and is designed for simple installation in bathrooms, kitchens, utility rooms and more. It is also designed to help upgrade existing older fans because of its unique two-wire installation that removes the need for a third switched live wire – saving time and cost. Sales Director Lee Page said: “We’re confident this type of fan does not exist in the UK market – meaning specifiers and end users can benefit from Silent Dual’s unique double motion and humidity sensors, as well as the built-in demand ventilation and two running modes. “The two-wire control also makes it very easy to upgrade old fans – especially for local authority buildings where it could reduce installation costs and time with no extra cables required.” S&P UK Ventilation Systems is the UK subsidiary of leading global manufacturer Soler and Palau, and is the sole UK distributor of commercial, industrial and residential fans and ventilation systems. PANASONIC ADDS SYSTEM HEALTH CHECK TOOL Panasonic Heating & Cooling Solutions has updated its AC Service Cloud to include a System Health Check function, in selected Panasonic Commercial AC series. The AC Service Cloud is for HVAC professionals requiring remote access to a Panasonic air conditioning system for maintenance and multi- site monitoring, and now includes more additional service benefits for professionals. The System Health Check function acts as a ‘self-diagnosis’ tool, whereby the AC Service Cloud automatically detects potential malfunction, often before the fault even occurs, which can help speed up the overall maintenance process and help prevent costly breakdowns and callouts, which in the long run will reduce costs. The new update continuously monitors systems in intervals of 15 minutes to ensure any malfunctions are swiftly noticed. Any abnormal data is detected and reported automatically – it requires no action by professional users for the ultimate ease. All data can be simply found on the AC Service Cloud’s home screen, and a history of data can be recorded for up to two weeks. Data is shown with simple colours and shapes on the home screen to ensure they can be quickly identified. Settings can also be manually tailored for an individual approach, with professionals also able to easily change the value per each refrigerant circuit. www.aircon.panasonic.eu CARRIER LAUNCHES BLUEDGE DIGITAL Carrier’s Commercial Service business in Europe is launching BluEdge Digital a new tiered service offering to complement its existing service platform.
