09 NEWS Mitsubishi Electric has announced the launch of its latest R32 chiller range, developed by the company’s Italian factory. The new line-up o ers an R32 air-cooled chiller and an R32 air source reversible heat pump chiller. Both are manufactured to the company’s exacting Mitsubishi Electric Quality standard, produced in Italy for the first time. The range features variable speed scroll compressors, and is available in seven sizes. Each system is also available in three modules to o er a cooling capacity range from 50 to 220KW. MEHP-iS-G07, the new reversible heat pump, o ers high e ciency at partial loads, and its low noise levels and compact design are designed for comfort applications, including hospitality venues such as hotels. As well as producing hot water for comfort heating applications up to 65°C, it o ers domestic hot water production even at very low outdoor temperatures down to -20°C. The MECH-iS-G07 chiller is designed for process and IT cooling. With the ability to produce cold water across a wider range of temperatures, -12°C down to -20°C of outdoor air temperature, it is said to provide an e cient solution for any process application. When used alongside indoor CRAH (Computer Room Air Handler) VSD scroll compressors units, the MECH-iS-G07 o ers the first fully hydronic IT cooling package for small and medium enterprise data centres. The new head o ce and warehouse, at Unit F, Colima Avenue, Sunderland SR5 3XB, is almost five-times the size of their previous base at 30,000 sq.ft and was o cially opened by The Rt. Hon. Jake Berry MP, Conservative Party Chairman and former Minister for the Northern Powerhouse. The two businesses have worked together since 2017 and formally joined forces in 2020. Having outgrown their previous base at Sunderland’s Business Innovation Centre, they have now invested in a new home which will give them the capacity to carry more products in stock and allow expansion into other areas of the market. Secon Managing Director Kevin Carling said: “Due to the phenomenal growth of the last few years, we have completely outgrown our old premises. Renewable heating will continue to grow and we want to be at the heart of it. “We are also taking the opportunity to install a large training academy for air conditioning, solar thermal and heat pumps and have partnered with a training company to host their installer training.” The businesses are built around trade-only webstores and a single distribution warehouse which services national sales with next-day delivery.
