05 NEWS Fujitsu unveils fourth generation Airstage Fujitsu General Air Conditioning UK has introduced the new Airstage Generation IV VRF that covers a capacity range of 12 to 135 kW. Certified by Eurovent independent testing, the heat pump and heat recovery models o„er an improved specification potential with new technologies and design. Redesigned heat exchangers and refrigerant control techniques are said to provide to up 8% improvements in operating e‰ciencies over previous models and result in achievable longest pipe lengths of up to 120 metres. The Airstage VR-IV o„ers simultaneous cooling and heating operation from one refrigerant circuit. Energy e‰ciency ratios of up to 9.0 are achievable, transferring energy that would normally be rejected from the system and using it to heat or cool alternative rooms. Intelligent refrigerant control optimises capacity and e‰ciency by directly adjusting the system evaporating pressure in relation to load; improving comfort levels by reducing the e„ects of overheating or over cooling.
