There are six systems with twin indoor coolers and four with a single indoor cooler extending cooling duty to 10kW nominal. The new condensing units feature the Copeland Scroll compressor and come complete with all necessary refrigeration controls and components. These new systems have the advantage of longer 50m pipe runs – enabling installation in the most demanding situations. Each system is supplied with appropriately sized expansion valves and fan discharge air straighteners to enhance air distribution in larger cold rooms. The Cellar Plus systems are suitable for multiple cooling applications in industries beyond pubs, bars and restaurants. An air temperature range of 4°C to 15°C – adjusted and maintained by the electronic controller – allows product cooling in di†erent industries including fresh fruit and vegetables, flowers, dairy products and other items requiring a temperature-controlled environment. These compact cooling systems are also ideal for pharmaceutical and medical goods storage as well as blood and vaccine storage. The indoor cooling unit was developed specifically for cellar cooling. It has a robust case, can be wall or ceiling mounted and, importantly, has six fins per inch brewery specification evaporator coils which makes it easy to clean and maintain. For larger capacity systems discharge air straighteners are supplied as standard for increased air throw and expansion valves are also supplied for site fitting. The new condensing unit o†ers many new features including the use of a Copeland Scroll compressor, blue fin coils and pipe runs up to 50m for total flexibility. Ease of installation keeps costs and time to a minimum for the contractor and low noise means that the condensing units are suitable in or near residential areas. There are single phase and three phase condensing unit options. The in-built electronic controller fitted as standard makes it easier for the engineer in set-up and provides the customer with the accurate temperature control needed when cooling sensitive products. Depending on capacity, the systems are able to use R448A or R449. A three-year manufacturer’s warranty gives the installer and the end user total peace of mind. www.jehall.com WORCESTER BOSCH LANDS 11TH WHICH? BEST BUY Worcester Bosch has been awarded the Which? Best Buy endorsement for an 11th time for its gas boiler range. There was further cause for celebration as Worcester Bosch was also the only brand to scoop a Which? Best Buy endorsement for its oil boiler range. The annual Which? report revealed that Worcester Bosch is the most trusted boiler brand for owners in terms of reliability, with survey respondents also holding the company’s customer service in high esteem. Which? further reported: “Worcester Bosch performs so consistently well in our annual reliability surveys that its name is synonymous with dependability.” Victoria Billings, Director of Marketing of Worcester Bosch said, “We are thrilled to receive Which? Best Buy endorsement for both our gas and oil boiler range. We are extremely proud to be market leaders in the UK boiler industry and constantly strive to improve and develop our boiler ranges for our customers. In these uncertain times, we want homeowners to be reassured that they can rely on Worcester Bosch for their home heating needs.” The report was based on a survey conducted in May and June 2020 of 7,500 people who had purchased a new boiler in the past six years. Engineers’ views were gathered from a survey of 153 Which? Trusted Traders who rated boiler brands on factors such as build quality and the availability of parts and spares. ADVECO L70 ASHP FOR HOT WATER WITH 70% LESS CO 2 Hot water and heating specialist Adveco has extended its ASHP o†ering with the Adveco L70, a high capacity monobloc air-to- water heat pump to o†er a comprehensive response for sustainable hybrid domestic hot water (DHW) and heating. Calibrated for the UK climate, the L70 operates with ambient temperatures of -20 to +35°C providing water temperatures up to 60°C for hybrid applications. The L70 will dramatically lower CO 2 using the carbon intensity figures from the new SAP10. Compared to gas-fired systems CO 2 emissions reduce by around 70% using the SCOP of 3.47 (Ecodesign reference design temperature of 2°C for the UK and water temperature at 55°C). The L70 remains eligible for applications for the non-domestic Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) until March 2021 and is ideal for projects applying to the Government’s Public Sector Decarbonisation Fund to drive energy e«ciency. enquiries@adveco.co 01252 551 540 www.adveco.co The guide to what’s new for ACR Journal readers, offering vital industry news.
