December 2020 | January 2021 If I could sum up my first year at Samsung in one word, it would be ‘fast’. For me, it was exciting to start the business with a clean slate, to enable me to have a fresh pair of eyes on everything. One thing I wanted to ensure I did straight away was build strong relationships with my team, distributors and installers, as we pride ourselves on having strong connections at Samsung. It’s been a very busy year for us as a team, from the Wind-Free extension to numerous partnerships, there’s been lots going on. In particular, the Etopia partnership has been very interesting to work on, as the company are unique in the way that they approach the built AIR CONDITIONING 16 environment. We’ve been able to provide them with a ‘One Samsung’ approach, as we have such a wide product o ering, which of course, includes heating and cooling products. Fantastic team We’ve also continued to extend our product o ering and back in July the announcement of the Wind-Free extension was an exciting time for us as a business. The pace at which Samsung works is relentless and we’re always keen to launch the most innovative products to market. Since the launch of the Wind Free range, it has always been our goal to make Wind-Free technology available for a wider audience and we feel we’ve achieved that with this expansion of the range. However, like everyone this year, it’s not all been plain sailing. It’s been such an unprecedented time for everyone, but I must say, Samsung have been absolutely magnificent in how they’ve looked after the team. There’s been a constant stream of support for all employees to ensure wellbeing at work remains positive even during those challenging times. Looking ahead to the future, we’re keen to continue expanding our fantastic team. Sales have been great and although we can’t control the market, we can control our place in it. We’re keen to challenge the ‘status quo and have plans to further develop our sales team and continue to invest in people, as that’s so important for us as a business to be able to succeed. We look forward to 2021 with optimism and are ready to take on new challenges in the future.
