The training centre o ers a wide variety of BESA Academy accredited courses that meet legislative guidelines and are essential for engineers working with HVAC equipment and refrigerant gases. Training is headed up by Airedale’s time-served engineer Duncan Hitchcox, who said: “I am delighted to be re-opening training to external clients after the covid lockdown. Whilst it was essential to temporarily close to protect our teams, we also have to balance that with the urgency of delivering accredited training that permits engineers to work across the UK in areas that are governed by legislation. “Our practical training rooms make a di erence. Explaining the theory is one thing, but being able to practice it in a purpose-built workshop with genuine HVAC equipment is what most engineers say is invaluable to their learning. Online learning doesn’t allow for that.” Duncan Hitchcox Coolair expands into South Wales Coolair Equipment Limited is establishing a permanent presence in South Wales following its expansion into the North East and Scotland earlier this year. The new arm of the business will be managed by Chepstow- based Stephen Morley, who joins Coolair as business development specialist, South West and Wales. He said: “Coolair Equipment Limited is a bit of an institution within the HVAC industry and the opportunity to head up their operations in a new territory was too appealing to pass. I am looking forward to develop the business within South Wales and the South West, making them the go-to air-conditioning and heat pump company in the region.” Managing director John Otterson said: “As we look to the future of our business, building a network of regional bases is high on our agenda. Following the appointment of Mark Walsh to head up our North East and Scotland arm, finding the right candidate to do the same in the South West and Wales was a priority. Stephen brings with him significant experience both on the tools and in a sales environment.'' Coolair supplies, installs, services and maintains air conditioning and heat pump systems across the UK. The company also has regional o ces in Maidstone and the Midlands, and is headquartered in Manchester. Stephen Morley
