August 2022 | September 2022 RACHP 26 Join us this November and experience the thrill of top-tier competition as the UK’s best apprentices compete for gold medals in the WorldSkills UK National Finals. See World Class RACHP Skills in Action – Attend the WorldskillsUK 2022 National Finals held at Barking and Dagenham College 16 – 18 November Volume 8 No.5 Sixty-three finals take place at the same time at six colleges across the UK, and the skills vary from bricklaying in Edinburgh, aircraft maintenance in Cardiff, culinary arts in Belfast and Refrigeration and Air Conditioning in Barking and Dagenham College, London. The finals will run on November 16 and 17 from 9 am-5 pm and on November 18 between 9 am – 12 pm. Designed by industry experts, WorldSkills UK competitions help young people to grow personally and professionally, developing their technical, personal skills while enhancing their employability potential. Visitors are invited to each final to see the most exemplary skills in action, experience the excitement of competition and enjoy inspirational career events. The career events are aimed at 13–15-year- olds deciding on their options and career paths. RACHPskillsUK Lead sponsor Fujitsu will be representing our industry at these events, offering a wide variety of information on apprenticeships, interactive sessions and products, providing a unique opportunity for young people to talk directly to RACHP experts. Our congratulations to the top six scoring apprentices who are all invited to compete in the finals in November, with another four high-scoring apprentices held in reserve.
