53 CHANGING FACES FRANK VAN DER HEIJDEN, GENERAL MANAGER, JOHNSON CONTROLS Johnson Controls has named Frank van der Heijden as General Manager for Industrial Refrigeration, Cooling, Heating and Energy Solutions for UK and Ireland, combining this with his current role of General Manager for Industrial Refrigeration across the Benelux region. He will aim to further strengthen Johnson Controls’ position, in particular increasing market share of its YORK and SABROE brands. The teamwill support customers by providing technical advice, planning, installation and long-term syatemmaintenance, and help them to o meet challenges including sustainable development, service continuity and process automation. Van der Heijden joined Johnson Controls five years ago and previously held various management positions in Benelux, including that of Managing Director for Engie Refrigeration, where he had responsibility for over 300 employees. The appointment is said to be the result of a drive for greater co-operation between Johnson Controls’ different industrial refrigeration regions in Europe, which is headed by David Dorney, Vice President and General Manager. www.johnsoncontrols.com CRAIG WELLS, INSTALLATION & SERVICE SUPPORT MANAGER, WILLIAMS REFRIGERATION Williams Refrigeration has appointed Craig Wells as its new Installation and Service Support Manager. He has over 30 years’ experience in commercial catering refrigeration and installation and has been with Williams since 2002, most recently as a technical engineer and senior engineer. This promotion will see Wells mainly responsible for managing the installations of’ modular refrigeration products, such as the modular blast chillers, as well as diagnosing technical issues for customers and engineers. He said: “The demand for our portfolio of modular products is down to the fact that they tick a lot of boxes in terms of modern catering design.
