In his new role, Nathan heads up the arm of the business responsible for all aspects of M&E relating to HVAC - from small remedial works to full refurbishment of systems, including pipe replacement, lagging and insulation, ductwork cleaning, and plate heat exchanger installation. Based in Horton House business centre in Exchange Flags, the location offers a prime central spot for the practice which was first established in a single office in Derby in 1984 and now offers structural, civil, geo- environmental, and transport planning services across a range of sectors nationwide. The office will be headed up by divisional director Chris Pollett. The BCIA has seen significant growth over the past three years, representing 150 businesses nationally as a single voice representing a growing and dynamic building controls and BEMS sector in the UK. www.bcia.co.uk CIBSE Certification appoints new Head of Certification Following Andrew Geens retirement, CIBSE Certification Ltd have appointed Sebastian Gray as the new Head of Certification. Sebastian spent the past 10 years running an energy management consultancy focused on providing advice and implementation of energy legislation to a range of organisations including FTSE listed companies, SME’s, public sector and charities. He has been a member of CIBSE and registrant of CIBSE Certification since 2012. Being a registered Low Carbon Consultant (LCC) Operations, DEC Assessor, ESOS Lead Assessor and EnMS specialist. He has served on CIBSEs council and CIBSEs scientific committee. Sebastian plans to maintain CIBSE Certification’s personnel schemes and where feasible expand into new areas as markets develop. He will also build on the IMS service by continuing to offer certifying organisations to ISO 50001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001 and 45001 standards.
