He maintains a distinguished profile in the sector and is well known for his expertise in the UK and Overseas. I look forward to taking BSRIA forward into the forthcoming challenges presented by its strategic agenda.’ Alan Macklin appointed Vice-President of HEVAC AlanMacklin, GroupTechnical Director at Elta Group, has been appointed as the newVice-President of HEVAC, the trade association for heating, ventilation and air conditioning. Chairman of the Fan Manufacturers Association since 2016, Alan is a fan engineer with a 41 year career in the ventilation industry, having broad experience in residential, commercial, industrial, mining and AHU sectors. He is actively involved in standards being a member of MCE/017 (Fans), ISO/TC117 (Fans) and FSH/025-05 (Smoke fan working group). As a member of the Federation of Environmental Trade Associations (FETA), HEVAC seeks to be a pro-active association collaborating with similar industry groups and government departments to strengthen sustainability as an essential component of resource efficiency. With this positive approach to improving product performance, system design and client awareness, the association is in a strong position to influence policies, legislation and standards affecting the air conditioning, ventilation and related heating market. Reporting to the FIDIC chief executive officer and with accountability to the FCLmanagement board and associated governance committees, as General Manager of FCL, Totsikas will oversee and be responsible for all key areas of the credentialing company’s operations including governance, programme delivery, accreditation standards and business development. He will also be responsible for implementation of certification policies, standards and procedures for the credentialing process, including the various working committees and provision of leadership and direction for the FCL team.
