34 MODERN BUILDING SERVICES JUNE 2022 Destratification Fans Combat Heating Solutions, Europe’s leading developer and manufacturer of energy-efficient radiant and warm air heating systems, introduce you to their range of destratification systems which are one of the most effective energy reduction technologies available on the market. Combat Energy saving HVE fans are the ideal solution to assist with savings on energy costs by returning the heat that rises back down to the ground level in high bay applications such as, but not exclusive to, churches and warehouses with high ceilings. These units can provide savings of up to 20% on running costs at optimum air change rate. www.combat.co.uk NewSchwank Solar Air Collectors offer ClimateNeutral Heating Tomeet rising energy costs and decarbonisation requirements for industry and logistics, Schwank has introduced Solar Air Collectors for renewable heat generation. Seewww .schwank.co.uk/products/renewable-systems/solar-air-collectors/ solarSchwank facade-mounted systems aremade of perforated, light-weight aluminium. When the sun’s raysmeet a solar active surface coating (absorber), solar energy is converted into thermal energy. The heat is then fed directly into the building assisted by a fanwithout conversion processes or the use of a heat exchanger. solarSchwank systems are available with or without fresh air supply and can be easily and quickly installed in new or existing buildings, significantly reducing heating costs and CO 2 emission. The purpose-built facility handles all the sterilisation of medical and surgical equipment for the local NHS Trust facilities. As part of its construction, The System was used to fabricate over 1,400 m2 of supply and extract air ducts to and from the HVAC air handling units. The system comprises foil-faced rigid insulation panels which can be used to fabricate lightweight runs of ductwork. A recent inspection of the HVAC system showed that the ductwork is in excellent condition, with all joints and junctions continuing to provide an effective barrier against air loss. www.kingspanductwork.co.uk WHAT’S NEW A guide to new products and services for MBS readers.
