David Mansell, 52, has recently joined the Midlands office of the one-stop air conditioning specialists, while Danny McLaughlin, 54, has joined the firm’s southern office in Maidstone, Kent. Both have been appointed as Sales/Business Development Specialists. David will be responsible for the sales, design and procurement of air conditioning and any associated services in the region. Danny, who has 30 years’ experience within the HVAC industry, will be introducing Coolair Equipment Limited’s service portfolio to new and existing clients. Like Danny, David has vast experience across the HVAC sector with previous roles including Regional Sales Manager for Toshiba Business Solutions and Director of Operations and Key Accounts at Celsius Solutions Limited. Kayla Ente MBE is the founder and CEO of the Brighton & Hove Energy Services Co-operative which is building a portfolio of community owned low-carbon and efficient energy projects in Sussex. Her career has spanned a range of different roles in the UK and The Netherlands, including time working at Greenpeace, Ecofys Energy and Environment and Nuon, the Dutch utility that offered Europe’s first renewable energy tariff. Kayla was appointed an MBE earlier this year for services to community-led energy efficiency projects. Joanne McCudden is an experienced non-executive director representing minority shareholder interests in a range of companies. By profession, Joanne is a biochemist and has held a number of senior business development and marketing roles. Aermec expands UK sales team to accelerate growth Aermec has made several new appointments in recent months to help the sales team to cope with demand. And as part of its on-going recruitment drive, Aermec has announced a further expansion with the appointment of Alex Thompson as Business Development Manager. Alex’s new role will see himwork closely alongside the wider sales team but he will be primarily representing Aermec in the south west of England and in SouthWales. Alex has been in the HVAC industry for 24 years having graduated as a mechanical engineer. He has held posts in R&D for nine years and over the last 15 years has been in technical sales with three leading air conditioning manufacturers and has multi-product experience. He has extensive experience supplying chillers, CRACs and AHUs to a wide range of industries and applications – from data centres and mission critical applications to critical cooling for hospitals as well as providing cooling solutions to meet the exacting requirements of large office projects. Alex will be developing closer relationships with consultants, contractors and end-users, providing advice on Aermec’s wide range of chillers, air conditioning products, fan coils and heat pumps.
