ISBA

78 www.theisba.org.uk It’s all about our team... Back in May 2020, Hettle Andrews were due to be headline partners at the ISBA conference in Birmingham, our home city. We had a number of plans and were so looking forward to exhibiting on home soil. The pandemic hit and the plans were stolen from all of us with a relocated ISBA conference announced for Manchester in the Autumn of 2020. We weren’t to know that the pandemic had other plans and a year later, we are finally looking forward to being at ICC Wales with you. With so many false starts, we appreciate that we are all still living in difficult times and, as a consequence, we have thought carefully about how we exhibit this year. Our usual buzzing stand, where we invite you along to partake in exhibition games, feels so inappropriate when your safety is our priority. The focus for all of us is the safety of people, whether at exhibition or not and, therefore, we have decided this year to strip back our usual stand and showcase our team to you – the very core of everything we do for you. We will still have some surprises for you on stand of course. However, as a specialist insurance broker and specialist risk management consultants to the independent school sector, never has the quality of our team been so important to the service we can provide and continue to provide to the independent school sector. It therefore seems appropriate that we should share our team and the quality of the team with you at this year’s ISBA conference. So what makes a true specialist? Experience? Yes; Knowledge? Yes; Commitment? Yes, and Hettle Andrews have committed to ISBA as headline partner for the last four years. But, the strength of our team in being able to deliver this experience, knowledge and commitment is central to how successful we are in being able to deliver our specialist service and is also key to our growing schools portfolio. Whilst we invest heavily in our team’s personal development and technical knowledge; the team do immerse themselves in the risks you face and also the nuances of the covers you require. What makes a true specialist? The last 18 months have been unprecedented and no less for all who work within the independent school sector. Who would have been able to predict the time we have all lived through and the changes to our daily lives, including our working lives, that the COVID-19 pandemic has now created? It is argued that alongside the NHS, schools have been equally stressful places to work and to manage. Having acted for so many clients and worked closely with them on their risk management issues we would wholeheartedly agree you have been subject to an extremely difficult environment. We may be stripped back but we are sure you will agree that in showcasing our team – we have a lot to show at ISBA 2021. Insurance brokers and risk management HEADLINE PARTNER Stand 124
