She liaises with influencers in education across schools, government and the media, serving the interests of ISC constituent associations and member schools. The ISC provides authoritative sector-wide research and data collection through the annual ISC Census and other surveys. ISC is a coordinating body, which brings together AGBIS, GSA, HMC, ISA, IAPS, ISBA and the Society of Heads, along with affiliates BSA, COBIS, SCIS and WISC in order to promote the sector and protect joint interests. Panel John Wilder John built up an agricultural dealership over 20 years and after selling that he joined a printing business which he ran for 10 years while studying for an MBA at the Open University. After the business was sold he became bursar of Moulsford Preparatory School – an all-boys school in Oxfordshire. During his 14 years as bursar the school pupil numbers have grown by 70 percent and the governors have spent £8m on a new sports hall, theatre, classroom block and art and ceramics department. The school has also developed its sports facilities with a new swimming pool and hard tennis courts as well as a new 11 acre sports field. Until recently, John was chair of a further education college and has served as a governor of his local state school. He has three boys, all educated in the independent sector, and in his spare time he enjoys golf, dog walking and reading. Tina Allison Tina is a specialist audit partner in Crowe UK’s charity and education unit. She has specialised in the audit of charitable, educational and not-for-profit organisations since 1995 and is part of the team that lectures on sector issues. Her varied client base includes a number of leading independent day and boarding schools throughout the country and well-known fundraising charities, many with significant branch and regional networks. In addition to this, she leads the national academies group drawing on her wealth of experience in the education sector. Tina is well respected by her not-for-profit clients for delivering practical and well-rounded business advice, set within the relevant regulatory framework in which her clients operate. In addition to her client-facing role she is also a member of ICAEW’s Charities Special Interest Group providing input regarding educational charities. Guy Biggin Guy is a specialist charities and education partner at Crowe UK. He is the managing partner of the Cheltenham office. He has considerable experience in audit and risk management as well as in-depth knowledge of strategic planning, good governance, tax efficient trading, fundraising and other essential areas. His extensive understanding of the technical requirements, alongside his practical, helpful approach, makes him the ideal professional partner. Guy is a regular speaker at Crowe UK’s workshops and a sought after speaker at local and national seminars run by other sector specialists. He has presented for ISBA, ICAEW, AGBIS, NATSPEC and NCVO. Outside of work, Guy is a trustee of Blood Pressure UK, Gloucester Engineering Training Limited and a governor of The Downs School in Bristol.
